This is Dhruv.
He's our CEO
but around here, we like to call him the Wizard King.

Fun fact: Dhruv's name is derived from the Sanskrit word, "Dhruva," which means North Star. And he started Dhruva Communications with the North Star of always putting people at the center of everything we do. It's no wonder our first core value is leading with empathy. His credentials are (woof!) impressive to say the least, but it's his heart that makes him a great leader. 

 

Growing up, Dhruv was always interested in why people behave the way they do. He was described as an intently observant kid. For more than a decade, he focused on researching empathy, connection and compassion. And after meeting his wife in 2019, he was inspired by her love for the arts and communication. 

 

Dhruv received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from Yale University. After that, he worked at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence with Emma Seppala (Author, The Happiness Track) researching optimal methods to improve emotional intelligence and resilience in young adults. In 2021, after a couple of years pursuing his PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge (UK),  he decided to go down a different route — led by his values — and founded Dhruva Communications. This little boutique agency is led with a lot of love. We combine psychological research with great design and a dose of wit to produce some of the best storytelling in the world!

When he's not working, our Wizard King enjoys playing tug with his dog, spending time with friends and family and catching up on his favorite reads!
